Coloring pages are a favorite activity for children around the world, but their preferences can vary based on age, culture, and personal interests. To explore this, I spoke to children from five different countries and asked them about the coloring pages they enjoy most. Their answers give us a glimpse into how diverse and creative kids’ preferences can be, no matter where they live.

5-year-old Emma from New York, USA

Q: What kind of coloring pages do you like, Emma?

"I like to color Barbie because she has pretty dresses. I color them pink, purple, and blue to make them look beautiful. Sometimes I even add sparkles! I also like coloring Minions. They are so funny, and I can make their clothes all different colors. I even give them hats sometimes!"

Q: Do you ever color anything else?

"Yes! I also like to color rainbows and unicorns. I make their hair rainbow colors and give them sparkly horns. It's so much fun!"

6-year-old Oliver from London, UK

Q: Hi Oliver! What’s your favorite thing to color?

"Dinosaurs! They are so cool. I like making them green or brown like they are in my dinosaur book. I also color their teeth really sharp, like they’re gonna chomp something. My favorite dinosaur is the T-Rex because he’s the biggest and scariest. But I also like coloring Smerfs, especially because they are all blue!"

Q: Do you like to color anything else besides dinosaurs?

"Yeah, I like race cars too. I make them go super fast by drawing flames behind them. Sometimes, I color them red or blue. But I also like coloring Smerfs and making them wear hats in different colors. That makes them look silly!"

7-year-old Sofia from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Q: Sofia, what do you like to color the most?

"I love coloring animals from the jungle, like parrots and tigers. They are so colorful, and I can use bright colors like yellow, red, and green. I also color Smerfs because they remind me of fun cartoons. I make them live in the jungle with my other animals."

Q: Do you like coloring anything else?

"Yes, I like Star Wars characters too! They are so cool, especially the lightsabers. I like to color them green or blue, and sometimes I make the characters battle in space with spaceships in the background."

8-year-old Liam from Sydney, Australia

Q: What do you enjoy coloring the most, Liam?

"Superheroes! Spider-Man and Batman are the coolest. I like to color Spider-Man swinging between buildings or fighting bad guys. I make his suit red and blue, and sometimes I add webs to make him look even cooler. But I also color Star Wars characters like Yoda or Darth Vader."

Q: Do you ever color something different than superheroes?

"Yeah, I like coloring sports players too. I play soccer, so I color players in uniforms that look like my team. I also like coloring Star Wars spaceships. They're awesome, especially when I color them flying through space."

9-year-old Aiko from Tokyo, Japan

Q: What kind of coloring pages do you like, Aiko?

"I like coloring mandalas. They have so many patterns, and I use lots of bright colors like gold, pink, and blue. It takes a long time to finish, but it’s very relaxing. I also color Star Wars characters because they look cool. I like coloring their costumes and weapons."

Q: Do you also like coloring Smerfs or other characters?

"Yes, Smerfs are really fun to color. I make their hats all different colors. I also like to color Barbie and her pretty dresses. I give her long, colorful hair and make her dresses sparkle by using bright crayons."

Conclusion

These interviews show that children from around the world have their own unique preferences when it comes to coloring pages. Whether it's the whimsical world of the Smerfs or the action-packed universe of Star Wars, coloring pages give kids a chance to immerse themselves in different stories and characters.
