A big night for a small-town love triangle
DTF St. Louis beat out Beef season two, Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, All Her Fault and The Beast in Me for the top limited series prize, according to Collider. Conrad, who created, wrote and directed the series, accepted the award on behalf of a cast and crew he said numbered 175 people, telling the room, "I'm so proud to be able to speak on behalf of this extraordinary cast," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

From Creative Arts to the main stage
The show arrived at Sunday's ceremony already loaded. At the Creative Arts Emmys the weekend prior, DTF St. Louis took home six trophies, including supporting acting wins for Harbour and Cardellini, per Fox2Now. It was the first Emmy win for both actors, and Harbour's first after two prior nominations for Stranger Things.  Accepting his award, he said he "can't believe that you've embraced our show so much."
What the show is actually about
Jason Bateman stars as Clark, a St. Louis TV weatherman, opposite Harbour as Floyd, his ASL interpreter and best friend. The two try a hookup app, also named DTF St. Louis, to shake up their marriages, and Floyd turns up dead soon after. Cardellini plays Floyd's wife, Carol, in the love triangle that follows. The series debuted on HBO Max in March and ran for seven episodes.
UK viewers can catch it too: DTF St. Louis premiered on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW on March 2, and remains available there for anyone who missed the Emmy-winning run the first time, according to Sky.
