Deadwyler and Patel are also co-executive producers. Patel previously confirmed they are playing new characters, not Mulder and Scully, according to Nerdtropolis.
Composer Ludwig GĂśransson scored the pilot, according to Consequence.

Chris Carter's role and the original stars
Chris Carter, who created the original series, is an executive producer, according to Dread Central. He is a non-writing producer.
Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny have no confirmed return. Neither knows whether their characters exist in the new timeline, according to The A.V. Club.
Why the series order matters now
The order comes months after Hulu passed on its ChloĂŠ Zhao-directed Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, The A.V. Club noted. A new X-Files gives the streamer a flagship genre revival.
It also arrives in a busy season for genre TV. See how HBO's Lanterns is already planning season two and how Carrie scored 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.
