NBC premieres Happy's Place season 3 on Friday, October 23, at 8pm ET, with Reba McEntire returning for 18 episodes in Knoxville after a February renewal.

TL;DR

  • Season 3 premieres Friday, October 23, at 8pm ET on NBC, with episodes on Peacock the next day.
  • The season runs 18 episodes, according to TVLine.
  • Episodes air weekly on Fridays, but NBC has not published a full break calendar.
  • In the UK, no streaming platform is currently listed for the show.

When does Happy's Place season 3 start?

According to TVLine, the NBC comedy returns Friday, October 23, at 8pm. Episodes stream on Peacock the following day.

The Popverse lists the weekly slot as 8pm Eastern and Pacific, and 7pm Central. It follows a season 2 finale that aired Friday, April 24, 2026.Rex Linn in ‘Happy Place’ season 3. Casey Durkin/NBC

How many episodes are in season 3?

Season 3 runs for 18 episodes, according to TVLine. Showrunner Kevin Abbott told the site he hopes actor Jane Lynch appears in at least a third of them.

Wikipedia's series page lists 36 episodes ahead of season 3. If all 18 new episodes air, the total reaches 54.

What is the weekly release schedule?

Happy's Place airs weekly on Fridays. If NBC ran all 18 episodes back to back from October 23, the finale would land on February 19, 2027. That is our own arithmetic, not an NBC date.

A straight run looks unlikely. Season 2 resumed after the Winter Olympics, according to KECO-FM, and its finale did not air until late April.

NBC has not published a full episode calendar in the sources we reviewed. TVLine's printable fall calendar is the place to watch for updates.

What happens in Happy's Place season 3?

The official logline, quoted by TVLine, says Bobbie and Emmett's romance has ended. It asks whether the pair will stay friends. Isabella's speakeasy takes off, and Gabby now lives with her mother.

Desperate Housewives actor James Denton joins as JB, a patron who catches the eye of both Bobbie and Gabby. Denton first guest-starred on Reba more than 20 years ago, according to TVLine.

Lynch returns as Gabby's mother Val, and Justina Machado reprises Maritza, Isabella's mother.

Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBC and Peacock, announced the renewal on Monday, February 2. She said Happy's Place and St. Denis Medical remain "hugely important and successful programs" for the network.

Where to watch Happy's Place in the UK

There is no confirmed UK home for the series yet. JustWatch's UK listing shows no streaming options in the United Kingdom at the time of writing. In the US, the show is on Peacock.

Time zones also matter for UK viewers. The 8pm ET premiere falls at 1am on Saturday in Britain, because UK clocks do not go back until Sunday, October 25.

From then until US clocks change on November 1, the gap shrinks to four hours. Friday episodes will then air at midnight UK time.

We will update this article if a UK broadcaster is announced.
