Netflix released the season two trailer for Haunted Hotel on Tuesday, confirming an October 9 return with eight new episodes as Katherine and her ghostly family face fresh supernatural chaos at the Undervale.

TL;DR

  • Haunted Hotel season two premieres on Netflix on October 9 with eight episodes.
  • The new trailer nods to Ghostbusters and The Ring as fresh threats invade the hotel.
  • Creator Matt Roller and Rick and Morty alumni return as executive producers.
  • UK viewers can stream it via Netflix's Standard with Ads plan, now £7.99 a month.

What happens in the new trailer

The footage follows Katherine, voiced by Eliza Coupe, as she tries to run the Undervale as a legitimate business rather than, in her words, "a building where dead people terrorise living people." It picks up from last week's teaser, which showed the demon Abaddon disrupting Netflix's own Halloween promotions.

According to Dread Central, the full trailer packs in visual nods to Ghostbusters and The Ring alongside a new character joining the family's chaotic household. A witch, a multi-jawed subterranean beast and a very unfortunate boat ride all feature in the first-look images shared by Netflix, as reported by What's on Netflix.

Who is coming back for season two

Will Forte returns as ghost brother Nathan, alongside Skyler Gisondo as Ben, Natalie Palamides as Esther and Jimmi Simpson as demon Abaddon. Roller created the series after his time on Rick and Morty, and he executive produces season two with Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon and Steve Levy, according to TV Insider.

Titmouse, the studio behind Big Mouth and The Venture Bros, again handles the animation. Netflix confirmed the season will run eight episodes of roughly 30 minutes each, according to ComingSoon.net.

UK release and how to watch

Season two arrives on Netflix globally, including the UK, on October 9. Netflix raised UK subscription prices this month, meaning British viewers now pay £7.99 a month for Standard with Ads, up from £5.99, according to Advanced Television.

Why season two matters

Season one landed in September 2025 and was renewed within a week, an unusually fast turnaround for adult animation. iHorror reports that Netflix confirmed the renewal just seven days after launch, and the show has since built a loyal following for its dense sight-gag style of horror comedy.
